Privacy Policy — Forest Guardian (Guardião da Floresta)
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Forest Guardian ("the game", com.lopesleo.guardiao on Google Play) is developed by Leonardo Lopes, publishing as Komedy Games Studio. This policy explains what data the game uses, why, and what choices you have. This is a translation; the Portuguese version is the reference: https://lopesleo.github.io/guardiao/privacidade/.
Summary
- The game is free and has optional ads (you choose to watch one to earn a reward). There are never ads during the action.
- We don't ask for an account, name, email, phone number or location.
- Your progress stays on your device. If you sign in to Google Play Games, a copy is also kept in your Google account, so it comes back when you reinstall or switch phones.
- We use Google services (AdMob, Firebase and Google Play) that process some technical data, described below.
Data stored on your device
Your progress (coins, unlocks, achievements, records) and settings (volume, vibration, language) are saved only in your device's local storage. They are not sent to our servers and are deleted when you uninstall the game or use the "Erase progress" option in the Options menu.
Cloud copy of your progress (Google Play Games)
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game keeps a copy of your progress using Google's Saved games feature. The copy lives in the game's space in your Google account (a hidden folder that only this game can access), not on our servers, and is used to recover your progress when you reinstall or switch devices. Settings (volume, language, etc.) are not uploaded. Google Play Games handles your account and player profile under Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. To not use the cloud, just don't sign in to Play Games. "Erase progress" also erases the cloud copy, and you can delete the game's data in the Google Play Games app or settings.
Leaderboards (Google Play Games)
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the score of your solo runs and the highest Danger you have cleared go to the game's leaderboards on Google Play Games. Other players see your gamer name and your rank according to the visibility of your player profile (set in the Google Play Games app). We don't receive personal data: the leaderboard is stored and shown by Google, under Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. To stay off the leaderboards, just don't sign in to Play Games.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The game shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may use your device's advertising ID, IP address, device information (model, system, language) and data about how the ad was shown. Google processes this under its own policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- You can reset or turn off the advertising ID in your Android settings (Google › Ads).
- For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game shows a consent message (Google's User Messaging Platform) the first time it opens. You choose whether to accept personalized ads and can change your choice later in the game's privacy options.
- In US states with privacy laws (such as California), you can opt out of the "sale or sharing" of your data for ads in Options › Privacy › Review.
- The "No Ads" purchase grants the ad rewards without watching (the game has no forced ads, only rewarded ones).
Usage and error analytics (Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the game is played (for example, run length, level reached, which rewards are viewed) and to fix crashes. The data is technical and anonymous to us (installation identifier, device model, app version, game events and error reports). We don't link this data to any person. You can turn it off at any time in Options › Privacy › Usage and error data.
News notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
If you accept notifications, the game may tell you about news (a new version, events) a few times a month through Firebase Cloud Messaging. For that, your device joins the news channel for the game's language, and Firebase uses a technical installation identifier (token) to deliver the message. We send the same message to everyone who plays in a language: we do not send individual messages or link the token to a person. Without your acceptance, the game does not even create the token. Turning off Options › Game › News leaves the channel and deletes the token; on Android, you can also turn off just the "News" channel in the app's notification settings.
Purchases
The one-time "No Ads" purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store payment data. The game only asks Google Play whether your Google account owns the purchase, to unlock it and restore it when you reinstall. Firebase Analytics records that a purchase happened (product, price and currency), without payment data; this is also turned off in Options › Privacy › Usage and error data.
Network connections
- Play Games (cloud and leaderboards), ads, analytics and news: described above.
- Time check: when online, the app makes a simple request to a Google address (
clients3.google.com/generate_204, the same one Android uses to test the connection) only to read the correct date and time and prevent cheating in real-time activities (garden, building, daily gifts). No player data is sent.
Permissions
- Internet: for Play Games, ads, analytics, news and the time check.
- Advertising ID: used by AdMob (see above); can be turned off in Android.
- Vibration: haptic feedback on taps and events (can be turned off in Options).
- Notifications (optional): only if you accept, to let you know the daily chest or the harvest is ready and to tell you the game's news. Reminders and news are turned off separately in Options.
Children
The game is intended for people over 13 and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights (LGPD and GDPR)
You can request information about the data processed, its correction or deletion, and withdraw consent at any time. Since we don't keep accounts or personal data on our own servers, most of it is already under your control on the device (erase progress, including the copy on Play Games; reset the advertising ID; turn off notifications).
Changes to this policy
If anything changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
